Scholz intends to allocate 2 billion euros for military assistance to Ukraine

Share

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz plans to spend an additional two billion euros on military aid for Ukraine. This is reported Reuters with reference to a source in the German government.

It is assumed that 400 million euros will go to the European Peace Fund, which buys weapons for Ukraine. The remaining funds will be directed to bilateral military contracts with Kiev.

Earlier it was reported that the German authorities are not yet able to provide Ukraine with all types of weapons that the Bundeswehr has.

Recall that the supply of heavy equipment to Ukraine was agreed in Germany.
