Sektori i turizmit në Shqipëri po përballet me sfida këtë vit, pasi afro 150,000 turistë nga Kosova nuk vizituan vendin—një rënie prej rreth 5% krahasuar me vitin 2024. Rritja e përgjithshme e turizmit është e ngadaltë, vetëm 3.5%, shumë më pak se rritjet me dy shifra të viteve të kaluara.
Ekspertët ekonomikë paralajmërojnë se kombinimi i çmimeve të larta, infrastrukturës së dobët dhe praktikave informale të çmimeve po pengon vizitorët, veçanërisht ata nga Kosova. Resortet bregdetare në jug shënuan rritje çmimesh 12–20%, duke shtyrë shumë turistë të kërkojnë destinacione të tjera.
