Kosova has officially deployed its first contingent of soldiers to Gaza as part of the International Stabilization Force (ISF), marking a significant step in the country’s growing role in global security missions. The Kosovo Security Force (FSK) troops were photographed on the ground alongside United States forces shortly after arrival, signaling close coordination with international partners in the field.
The ISF mission in Gaza brings together a limited group of contributing countries, including Kosova, Albania, Indonesia, Morocco, and Kazakhstan. The force is expected to focus on stabilization efforts, including search-and-rescue operations, demining, and supporting civilian safety in the post-conflict environment.
This deployment follows earlier signals from Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who confirmed Kosova’s readiness to contribute to international efforts in Gaza. Authorities in Prishtina had emphasized that the FSK possesses specialized capabilities in emergency response and humanitarian operations, making it suitable for missions of this nature.
The presence of Kosova troops alongside US forces highlights deepening defense cooperation and places the country among a small group of nations directly engaged on the ground in Gaza. This marks one of the most high-profile international deployments for the FSK to date, further positioning Kosova as an active contributor to global peacekeeping and stabilization missions.
