Kosova President Vjosa Osmani has stated that U.S. President Donald Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize, a remark that has sparked international debate and widespread reactions.

Speaking to Newsweek, Osmani was asked whether she would nominate President Trump for the prestigious award. Her answer was unequivocal:

“Of course. If I am president whenever that happens. There is no doubt he deserves it.”

Osmani emphasized that Kosova views Trump’s contribution to peace, particularly in the Western Balkans, from close proximity.

“I know others may have different opinions, but we see his contribution firsthand,” she said.

Speaking from the World Governments Summit in Dubai, Osmani described Kosova as “the most pro-American people on Earth,” highlighting deep gratitude for the role the United States has played in the country’s history.

She also revealed that she has held four conversations with President Trump, which she described as brief but “very meaningful,” adding that he has made an “extraordinary contribution” to peace.

The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded annually by the Norwegian Nobel Committee. Only a limited group of individuals, including heads of state, are eligible to submit nominations, with the winner announced each October.

President Trump has repeatedly stated publicly that he believes he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize, portraying himself as a leader who has helped end or prevent conflicts across the globe.
