Albania continues to rise as a top destination in the Balkans. In just the first five months of 2025, the country welcomed 3.4 million tourists, marking a 4% increase compared to the same period last year.
The most surprising statistic? A 382% surge in visitors from Israel, the biggest growth of any country. Albania’s mix of natural beauty, culture, and increasingly strong ties with Israel may be helping fuel the boom.
Other increases came from France, Finland, and Bosnia.
But while international numbers are up, visits from Kosovo saw a 7% drop. Traditionally one of the largest groups of tourists to Albania, the dip has sparked questions. Rising prices, travel fatigue, or changing preferences may be among the reasons.
