he Albanian community in Argentina marked International Women’s Day with a message of appreciation for the role women play in preserving and strengthening the Albanian community abroad.

The organization “Colectividad Albanesa de Berisso” shared a public statement honoring Albanian women who continue to keep traditions and culture alive within the diaspora.

In their message, community representatives emphasized that women have played a vital role in maintaining Albanian identity in Argentina by passing down language, traditions, and cultural values from generation to generation.

“We pay tribute to all the women who build community, preserve our traditions, and pass our culture from one generation to the next” the statement reads.

The Albanian community in Berisso, a city known for its historic Albanian immigrant presence, also expressed gratitude to the women who have contributed throughout the years and to those who continue to actively shape the community today.

“For the women who were, for those who are, and for those yet to come: thank you for your struggle and your work” the message concludes.
