Eda Sejdiu is a young, talented musician with a passion for singing and songwriting. Born in Switzerland and raised in a musical family, Eda has always had a connection to music and a desire to pursue a career in the industry.
Her journey to the United States has been filled with challenges and triumphs, but through it all, her love for music has remained a constant.
“All my life, something has connected me to music. As soon as I start singing, I connect all my feelings with it. It gives me inner peace and security, a feeling like nothing else. I’ve been trying to improve my singing for years, and after school and work, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try something new in the United States. It felt like an exciting journey and the perfect time for me” Eda told Atlantiku.
In Switzerland, Eda honed her skills and found her voice as a musician. Despite facing obstacles in finding opportunities to perform, she never lost her drive to pursue her passion.
When asked about her musical influences, Eda says: “I love to put all my feelings in my songs and sing or write songs about real-life situations. That way, I can step into another world where nothing matters but you and that very moment. It also helps me to overcome difficult situations. I delete everything that’s on my mind and feel every single word I sin.”
Eda’s time in the United States was a mixed experience. Although she was exposed to a new, diverse culture and met many new people, she found it difficult to find opportunities to advance her career. Despite this setback, she remained determined and continued to work on her music.
With her debut song set to be released in the coming month, Eda is eager to reach her goal of becoming the artist she has always dreamed of.
“My future goal is to release my own music and become the artist I dreamed of my whole life. I’m working on my first project and my first song ever. The song will be in my mother tongue Albanian, and I am really happy and positive about it. I hope to share more music of my own in the future.” – she added during her interview for Atlantiku.
Eda’s ultimate goal is to connect with and inspire other young musicians through her music: “I put all my feelings in my music and hope to help young aspiring singers who have a similar situation chase their dreams and not give up. I wish for my music to bring good feelings and joy, and help people feel better. I also share my music on social media, and that way, I stay in contact with other artists all over the world. Perhaps I can inspire people with my music and my story someday. I know how it feels to fight for dreams…the way to your goal is never easy, only you yourself can find the solution to locked doors, but the most important thing is to never give up on dreams.”
