Albanian Brothers Set Guinness Record in Times Square

Share

Arnold and Artan Balla, two brothers from Albania, have achieved a remarkable feat by setting a new Guinness World Record with their extraordinary performance in Times Square, New York. Demonstrating their exceptional balance and acrobatic skills, the Balla brothers performed a daring act of equilibrium on a cylinder with their eyes closed, a display that has not only brought immense pride to their home country but also to the international stage.

The duo managed to maintain balance on each other, separated only by a cylinder, for a stunning 61.95 seconds. This achievement has earned them the prestigious Guinness World Record certificate and medals, distinguishing them as pioneers in their field. Arnold Balla expressed the uniqueness of their performance by stating, “With eyes closed, we are the first in the world. Not just in Albania, but globally to perform such an act. We succeeded because Guinness Records are divided into two categories. Those who break a record and those who set one. And then there are others, like us Albanians, who both set and break records.”

Their performance in Times Square was more than just a national achievement; it was an international milestone that left a significant mark on the global street art scene. The emotional and highly competitive nature of performing in such a renowned venue made their success even more noteworthy. Arnold further shared the thrill of their journey, saying, “This is a dream, we are on that path. If someone had told me three years ago, I would never have believed it. To be recognized worldwide and to feel good is amazing.”

Beyond their record-setting performance, Arnold and Artan Balla have begun to collaborate with prominent artists such as 50 Cent, John Legend, and Usher, sharing stages and spotlighting their talent on a grand scale. Their journey to success was propelled by their appearance on America’s Got Talent, where producers’ encouragement and their father’s support played a pivotal role in realizing their Times Square performance. With two years of living in New York and continuing their involvement with America’s Got Talent, the Balla brothers are not just showcasing their talent but are also living their dream, proving that with determination and creativity, anything is possible.
