Albania has been recognized as the top destination in Europe for 2023 in terms of tourist influx, according to the UN Tourism Barometer.
“This news fills our hearts with joy,” expressed the Prime Minister, sharing the statistics published by the UN Tourism Barometer on social media.
The significant result marks a new level where Albania stands in the eyes of the world and also demonstrates the effectiveness of developmental policies towards Albania’s 2030 peak.
“Hello friends and travelers! The UN Tourism Barometer has just announced that Albania is the best destination in Europe for 2023! We are thrilled and proud to be recognized for our beautiful landscapes, rich culture, and warm hospitality,” stated the Prime Minister.
Inviting foreign tourists to visit our country, the Prime Minister assures that “Albania has something to offer for everyone.”
“If you’re seeking adventures in our magnificent mountains, relaxation on our untouched beaches, or a journey through our historic roads, Albania has something for everyone. Come and see for yourself why everyone is talking about Albania. Let’s create memories together that will last a lifetime,” the Prime Minister further wrote.
Over 10 million foreign tourists visited Albania in 2023, and high visitor numbers continued in the first months of this year, with approximately 500 thousand foreign tourists visiting the country in January 2024 alone.
