Albanian boxer Jurgen Uldedaj has made history by becoming the IBO World Champion in the cruiserweight division, after defeating Rolly Lambert Fogoum at The O2 Arena in London on October 25, 2025.
The 27-year-old from Lezhë, Albania, who now fights professionally out of Germany, earned a unanimous decision victory, dominating the match from start to finish with precise strikes and strong ring control.
This win marks a monumental achievement not only for Uldedaj’s career but also for Albanian sports, as he becomes one of the very few Albanians ever to hold a recognized world title in boxing.
After being declared world champion, Uldedaj delivered an emotional message to his fans:
“Today is the day I’ve dreamed of all my life. After years of sacrifice, hard work, and faith in God, I became World Champion. This title is not only mine — it’s for all Albanians everywhere.”
He continued by thanking those who supported him on his journey:
“Thank you to my team, my family, my coaches, and everyone who has been part of this road. Today we wrote history for Albania.”
The victory over Cameroon-born Lambert (18-3-1, 14 KO) crowned Uldedaj’s rise in the international boxing scene, bringing pride to Albanians across the world. His record now improves to 21 wins and just one loss, proving his consistency and strength in one of boxing’s most competitive divisions.
Holding the red-and-black flag high in the center of the O2 Arena, Uldedaj shouted a message that resonated across Albanian communities worldwide:
“Nothing is impossible if you don’t give up.”
With this historic triumph, Jurgen Uldedaj cements his name among the greatest Albanian athletes — a true world champion who fought not only for himself, but for every Albanian who dares to dream big.
