Kosovo’s judo star Distria Krasniqi has done it again.
The two-time Olympic medalist has been crowned European Champion for the fourth time, after defeating France’s Amandine Buchard in today’s final in the -52kg category, as announced by the Kosovo Olympic Committee.
Krasniqi once again showed her dominance on the European stage, adding another gold medal to her already historic career. She previously won Olympic gold in Tokyo 2020 and silver in Paris 2024, cementing her place among the world’s elite.
Facing one of the toughest opponents in her category, Krasniqi delivered under pressure and proved why she remains at the top of international judo.
With this victory, she continues to lead Kosovo’s golden era in judo — the sport that has brought the country its greatest international success.
