At just sixteen years old, Alessandro Di Mario has done what most professional racers can only dream of — he has won two consecutive MotoAmerica Twins Cup titles, becoming one of the youngest champions in the history of American motorcycling.

Born in Italy to an Albanian-Italian family, Di Mario first climbed onto a pocket bike at the age of four. “My parents got me a mini-bike, and from the first day I was focused. I wanted to go faster, but cleaner,” he said in an interview on ABC e Mëngjesit. When he was ten, his family crossed the Atlantic and settled in Lexington, Kentucky, where his father found new work. The move didn’t end his dream — it expanded it.

In 2022, Alessandro won the Nicky Hayden AMA Road Race Horizon Award and the North America Talent Cup, two major recognitions for emerging talent. The following year he entered the MotoAmerica Junior Cup, winning seven of twelve races — an astonishing record for a rookie. Riding for Rodio Racing / Robem Engineering on an Aprilia RS 660, he then stepped up to the Twins Cup and captured the 2024 championship at just fifteen.

One year later he did it again. In 2025 Di Mario defended his title, dominating key races and keeping his rivals behind from start to finish. Sports Illustrated and MotoAmerica both described him as “the rider to watch in U.S. racing.” With that win, he became the youngest racer ever to claim back-to-back Twins Cup titles.

“Consistency,” he said when asked about his secret. “You don’t always need to be the fastest — you just have to finish every time.”
