Kosovo has signed a framework agreement with American defense manufacturer AM General to purchase modern mobile artillery systems. The deal includes HUMVEE Hawkeye 105mm Mobile Howitzers (MHS), support vehicles, spare parts, maintenance services, and operator and maintenance training.
The acquisition marks a significant step in enhancing Kosovo’s firepower capabilities and advancing the development of a modern, ready, and interoperable army aligned with strategic allies.
The announcement was confirmed by Ejup Maqedonci, acting Minister of Defense in Kosovo.
