The long-awaited dream of a direct flight from Prishtina to New York might soon become reality.

In a coordinated effort with the Presidency of the Republic of Kosovo, the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo (AmCham) met with representatives from Delta Airlines and Airlines for America to discuss the potential of establishing a direct flight between Prishtina and New York City.

This initiative follows the confirmation of Delta Airlines launching direct flights from Tirana to New York starting in summer 2026—now Kosovo is pushing to join the list.

“With Prishtina International Airport ranked as the third busiest in the Western Balkans by passenger traffic and among the fastest-growing in Europe, Kosovo is ready to strengthen transatlantic ties and meet the rising demand for direct air routes,” AmCham stated in its announcement.
