Albanian Parliament rejects opposition resolution condemning Srebrenica Genocide

Share

The resolution regarding “Recognition of the Srebrenica genocide, Bosnia and Herzegovina” was rejected today in the Albanian Parliament.

51 deputies voted against this resolution. After the vote, Sali Berisha addressed the Assembly and accused the majority deputies of ‘voting according to the order of Aleksandar Vucic’.

“There has never been an anti-Albanian Albania like Edi Rama. You kicked the blood of 8,000 innocent Bosnian men and children. You voted by kicking over the lives of over 100,000 Albanians in Kosovo. What can you expect from a trafficker, an escort of traffickers. What can you expect from Aleksandar Vucic’s slave? how can you behave like a flock? How can you Albanians make such a vote? Berisha publicly in Albania and the UN has been against the embargo that penalized Kosovo”, said Berisha.

MP Tritan Shehu in his speech said that this is a bitter and ugly day of the Albanian parliament.

“We are the only parliament that does not have a formal document to condemn genocide. It’s a day that puts a heavy mark on the democratic world. A few days ago these gentlemen voted against the resolution condemning the Russian genocide in Ukraine. Today they did not accept the resolution to condemn the Serbian genocide in Bosnia, tomorrow they will not accept to condemn the Serbian genocide in Kosovo. Why? That are the connections, the obligations, Vucic is beyond. These are the goals, that is why today we were marked in the Albanian parliament “, said Shehu.
