Albania donates 1 million euros for Ukraine

The Albanian government will donate 1 million euros in aid to Ukraine at the Donors’ Conference.

“Albania is a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, where we are also co-hosts with the US for Ukraine and in coordination with other countries, we are giving our contribution in initiating meetings and documenting the events of the war. in aid of Ukraine. “On the other hand, bilaterally, we were among the first to contribute ammunition to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”

“We have also adjusted the legal side to allow Ukrainians to come to our country for a period of time if they wish. In this conference we will contribute with 1 million euros, I know that this will not change the fate of the war, or the reconstruction of the country, but we are honored to be here. I am grateful to both the Polish Prime Minister and the Swedish Prime Minister for making us part of this conference. “We will do our best for the Ukrainians and Ukraine in order to end the war and achieve peace as soon as possible,” said Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama at the conference.

Since the beginning of the war, Albania has been in support of Ukraine, while this Tuesday, the President of Ukraine addressed the Albanian Parliament, where, among other things, he thanked Albania for its support.

Among other things, Volodymyr Zelensky demanded the closure of ports for Russian ships and the banning of tourists from Russia.
