The Iowa National Guard praises the Kosovo military after joint training

The Commander of the Kosovo Security Force, Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, visited the exercises of the 133rd Infantry Battalion of the Iowa National Guard and the First Infantry Regiment of the Kosovo Security Force.

In a statement from the KSF, it is announced that in addition to other areas, this time the focus was on training and firing mortars by the military of both forces, during operations in this exercise, our military and partners were trained in maneuvering armored vehicles on the battlefield and machine gun shooting 12.7mm.

“General Jashari watched closely the mortar shells which are an organic part of the infantry units and provide indirect firepower against enemy targets,” is said in the announcement of the KSF.

It is further emphasized that the Kosovo military showed professionalism and high results, for which they were highly praised by our partners of the Iowa National Guard.

“The KSF Commander congratulated our military and those partners for the diligence and commitment in training in indirect fire systems”, announces the KSF.

The KSF together with its strategic ally, the US, will continue to develop such capabilities with the aim of increasing preparedness to respond to any situation they may face.
