“The number of those who decided to stay in the country is about six hundred, but that does not mean that everyone needs help. The registration of persons coming to Macedonia is done in the premises of “Dare Xhambaz” where refugees are allowed to ask for everything they need. Registration offices are open on weekdays from 08:00 to 16:00, while on Saturdays humanitarian aid is distributed in “Dare Xhambaz” in Skopje, while in other cities aid is sent directly to users because the number is very small “, Says Tuneva Paunovska.

Of the 600 people left in the country, only 204 sought help, the rest had nowhere to stay.

“A person from Ukraine can be accepted by anyone who has an empty apartment or house and can apply to the Red Cross where he lives. At the moment, the biggest need is for shoes, clothes, food, medicine and hygiene “, adds Tuneva.

Currently, all persons coming from Ukraine have a three-month stay, but on Friday at a meeting will be decided on their further status.
