Performing under the name Jayoo, Coleman recently released a five-track EP titled Jet Lag Dreams, where the vibrant rhythms and carefree party vibes are rooted in his time spent in Albania. The project includes songs like “Girls in the City” and “Up 2 Sum,” which carry the influence of the energy he absorbed while traveling and performing abroad.
This connection to Albania is not new. Back in 2022, Coleman appeared on the famous Albanian music competition “Kënga Magjike”, the country’s version of American Idol. His bold rap performance of Itsy Bitsy impressed all five judges and introduced him to Albanian audiences who quickly embraced his style. That experience left a deep mark on him, one that continues to shape his career today.
Now, Coleman is pushing even further with new projects. He is currently working on a hip-hop musical in which he plays a secret agent battling clout-chasing zombies—a quirky but ambitious production that mixes rap, film, and storytelling. Alongside this, he is preparing to launch a podcast with his father, Mayor Eric Adams, exploring generational gaps in music and lifestyle. The podcast, expected to debut around Father’s Day 2025, will be a candid father–son dialogue where politics meets pop culture.
For Coleman, this is more than just about music. He calls it “the biggest chapter” of his life, balancing roles as teacher, coach, actor, filmmaker, and now full-fledged rapper. He has openly reflected on grief and personal struggles, while also finding strength through creativity and the support of his family.
Even Mayor Adams himself has spoken warmly about Albania thanks to his son’s influence. In a recent TV interview, the mayor revealed he has yet to visit the country but expressed his eagerness to do so, noting that Jordan admires Albania so much that he has even talked about one day retiring there.
