The jubilee edition of the “Tirana International Film Festival” started this evening at the Millennium Cinema. TIFF hosted friends and sights, with the red carpet, on which filmmakers, personalities of art, culture and politics passed.
On the stage of the 20th edition of the international festival (TIFF), the opening ceremony was moderated by the well-known presenter, Rudina Magjistari. The director and founder of the Festival, Agron Domi, gave the welcome speech, he also joined the Italian deputy ambassador on stage, since the Italian embassy in Tirana is one of the main supporters of the event.
Attendees were entertained by the performance of a group of well-known comedians, who imitated the icon of good cinema, from the Blues brothers, Al Pacino and Marilyn Monroe, to Monica Bellucci.
The evening then continued with the screening of the documentary about the music legend, the great Ennio Morricone. The 156-minute film, directed by Giuseppe Tornatore, had its national premiere at the Millennium Cinema.
Although the opening ceremony of TIFF started around 18:00, today, in “Millennium” there were screenings of short films, all national premieres.
