Kosovar pianist Melisa Ibrahimi has achieved another major international milestone, winning the Silver Award at the Global Music Awards Honors Los Angeles.

The prestigious recognition was granted for her recording of “Mazeppa” by legendary composer Franz Liszt, produced in collaboration with Devastato Talent School. Critics described her interpretation as an explosive artistic performance, calling her “the hands that produce this volcano.”

Ibrahimi described the award as a defining moment in her artistic journey, emphasizing that it represents international recognition among distinguished artists worldwide and provides renewed motivation for future projects.

According to her, performing Liszt’s works requires exceptional virtuosity, flawless technical control, and deep emotional sensitivity. She noted that the preparation process was demanding yet highly inspiring.

Beyond personal achievement, Ibrahimi views this success as a strong message for Albanian classical music, highlighting the growing international presence of artists from Kosova.

Recognized internationally, she has won over 32 prestigious piano competitions worldwide. Her achievements include major successes in Moscow and Saint Petersburg, triumphs at the London Grand Prix Virtuoso, Nordic Piano Competition, and the International Piano Competition Grand Virtuoso in Bonn. As a distinguished laureate, she has also performed at the Moscow Conservatory, with concerts welcomed across various European stages.

Following this award in Los Angeles, Ibrahimi plans to continue performing solo concerts and collaborating with orchestras across European and international stages, proudly representing classical music and Albanian culture worldwide.
