Thousands of Albanian-Americans from across the United States are expected to gather in New York City this Saturday for one of the largest celebrations of Albanian heritage in America.
The annual Albanian Roots Parade returns to Manhattan on June 20, bringing together families, community organizations, businesses, artists, and cultural groups for a day filled with Albanian pride.
Participants are expected to wave Albanian and Kosova flags, wear traditional clothing, perform folk dances, and celebrate the rich history and culture of Albanians from Albania, Kosova, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and the diaspora.
Over the years, the parade has grown into one of the most significant events for the Albanian-American community, attracting thousands of attendees from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and beyond.
Organizers say this year’s event aims to highlight the contributions of Albanian-Americans while strengthening ties between generations born in the United States and their Albanian roots.
The parade is expected to feature live music, traditional performances, and appearances by community leaders and public figures.
For many participants, the event is more than a celebration—it is an opportunity to showcase Albanian identity in one of the world’s most iconic cities.
