The Minister of Culture, Elva Margariti, brought to attention, this morning, the Medieval Center in Berat.

“Rehabilitation in cooperation with “TİKA Tirana”, brought to light the square and the surrounding monuments, which are already waiting and escorting visitors”, says Minister Margariti on social networks.

TİKA is the Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination which has carried out important projects in the fields of education, health, life and food safety, infrastructure, protection of historical and cultural heritage in Albania.

The city of Berat, and especially the Medieval Center with the museums and cultural sites it contains, has been in the attention of the government.

It was in Berat that the largest number of projects for “Rejuvenation” was approved. The Revitalization Bonus through a grant aid goes to the individual who owns property in the historic centers of the cities, but also to the entire community that benefits from the city’s revitalization.

In the Berat Medieval Center, there are also the Onufri Iconographic Museum and the Ethnographic Museum, which last season had a high number of visitors from the country as well as foreign tourists./Atlantiku
