The Albanian activist in America, Uk Lushi, reacted to the dismissal of the Kosovo consul in New York, Lulzim Krasniqi, yesterday.

Lushi has called this decision arbitrary, until he said that the government has the right to transfer or even fire state employees, but neither the state nor the Albanian tradition justifies throwing either employees or citizens on the street without giving them the necessary time and reasonable.

He said that during her visit to New York, she told Minister Gervalla himself that the poor treatment of the people of Kosovo reflects badly on her as a minister, the government and the government.

Lushi also spoke about the dismissed consul, saying that Krasniqi was a dedicated worker whom the Albanian-American community loved and will love.

“Today I found out that the current government of Kosovo, specifically the heads of its foreign policy, Vjosa Osmani, Albin Kurti and Donika Gervalla-Schwarz, on June 30, have fired the Consul of Kosovo in New York, Lulzim Krasniqi, without giving him no deadline day. As I wrote on April 2, 2022, the government has the right to transfer or even dismiss civil servants, but neither the state nor the Albanian tradition justifies the dismissal of civil servants or citizens without giving them a necessary and reasonable time” he said.
