The “Albanian Flag Raising” ceremony was held today in Lower Manhattan.
In honor of the 110th Anniversary of Albania’s Independence Day, this ceremony was organized by Pan-Albanian Federation “VATRA” in partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs in New York City.
As a special guest, the Mayor Eric Adams was also present there. He made the “Albanian Eagle ??” gesture before delivering his remarks and raising the Albanian Flag ?? at the Bowling Green in Lower Manhattan (By the bull statue).
“…and so I’m happy to be here today to raise the flag on the 110th anniversary of how we acknowledge the independence of Albania and to honor all of our Albanian Americans who have long enhanced the five boroughs of this amazing city and amazing people that’s in it. So Happy Independence Day.” – said mr. Adams among other things.
He also received a gift by the President of Pan-Albanian Federation of America-VATRA, Elmi Berisha.
