Harun Hondozi, a fourth-grade prodigy, has claimed the prestigious first place in the “Best of the Best” category for science at the internationally renowned Neo Science Olympic, hosted by the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Alongside this remarkable achievement, Hondozi also secured a commendable second place in mathematics, highlighting his exceptional talent and dedication to academic excellence.
This year’s Neo Science Olympic coincided with the 25th anniversary of Kosovo’s liberation and saw Kosovar students achieving significant milestones. Collectively, they brought home six gold medals and several silver and bronze medals in science, mathematics, and robotics. Their stellar performances have not only showcased their individual brilliance but also brought immense pride to their nation.
Among the notable achievements were those of Gerti Kida, Vesa Xhymshiti, Jeton Sylejmani, Lum Rrahmani, and Molos Gashi, who excelled in their respective categories, further emphasizing the academic prowess of young Kosovar students. This wave of success marks a proud moment for the Albanian-American community, celebrating the exceptional accomplishments of their young scholars on an international stage.
