Gzim Palaj has been promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspector within the New York City Police Department (NYPD), becoming one of the few Albanian-Americans to reach such a high leadership position in one of the most prestigious law enforcement agencies in the United States.

The promotion marks the result of years of dedication, professionalism, and proven leadership. Deputy Inspector Palaj currently serves as the Commanding Officer of the 121st Precinct in Staten Island, one of the NYPD’s most demanding commands. Under his leadership, the precinct has strengthened public safety outcomes and built strong, trust-based relationships with the local community.
