Gledis Nano, the Director General of the State Police, has met the Chief of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Christopher Wray in Washington.
The police announced that the Wray-Nano meeting emphasized the strengthening of the close and cooperative relations between the State Police and the American government.
FBI Chief Christopher Wray reportedly congratulated Director Nano on his courage and professionalism in running the State Police.
Mr. Wray also confirmed the unwavering support of U.S. law enforcement agencies for the State Police.
“The visit to Washington stressed the US-Albania partnership and the importance of fighting corruption and organized crime in Albania, through joint operations, training and close cooperation,” police said.
Director Nano during his several-day visit to Washington also met with senior officials of US law enforcement agencies.
