PM Rama accompanied by Police after refusing to wear mask on plane

“PM Rama accompanied by Police, refused to wear a mask on a plane” was one of the headlines held today by the well-known German newspaper ‘Der Spiegel’.

The article says that the head of the Albanian government caused a scandal on board the Lufthansa plane.

“Edi Rama caused a scandal on board the Lufthansa plane, during the fourth wave of the coronavirus pandemic. The Albanian Prime Minister did not want to wear a mask. When even the pilot failed to resolve the conflict, the federal police arrived”

Only after convincing a hastily summoned Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs employee did Rama finally agree to enforce the regulations provided against the coronavirus, like all the other passengers on board the Lufthansa.

The airline then rescheduled another flight to the United States for him and his ten-member delegation is written in the article of ‘Der Spiegel’.

The article resonated in the media, while the reaction of the Albanian government was not delayed. In a twitter post, the Director of Communications to Prime Minister Endri Fuga clarified that the incident referred to by the German media is old news and has nothing to do with the anticovid mask.

“Old news, for an incident that basically did not have the placement of the mask, but the misconduct of one of the crew members. The company’s apology was accepted that day “writes Fuga while publishing the company’s apology letter to Prime Minister Rama.

“Your Excellency, on behalf of Lufthansa German Airlines, we apologize that you and your family were disembarked from Lufthansa’s LH442 flight from Frankfurt to Detroit on December 3, 2021, and we deeply regret any inconvenience caused by this ban. We apologize especially to you and your family if the behavior of some crew members was perceived as inappropriate and not treated with the necessary sensitivity and prudence, ”reads the letter of apology from Deutsche Lufthansa AG, Lufthansa Aviation Center, published in the reaction of the Director of Communications to the Prime Minister.
