Share

The Albanian-American community in the United States will gather in the Bronx on Saturday, September 12, for a peaceful demonstration in support of former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders held in The Hague.

The protest, held under the motto “Freedom for the Liberators!”, is part of an International Day of Action calling for solidarity with Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi.

The four former KLA leaders have been held in detention in The Hague since November 2020. Their final verdict is expected on September 16, 2026.

The New York gathering is being organized with the support of Albanian-American community activist Mark Gjonaj, along with community activists Gani Shehu and Adrian Grajcevci.

Organizers are inviting members of the Albanian-American community to attend with their families and join the peaceful demonstration, which aims to call for freedom, justice and dignity.
