Albanian esports star Drin “Makazze” Shaqiri has made history on the international gaming stage, winning the prestigious ESL Pro League in Counter-Strike 2.
He triumphed with his team Natus Vincere, which defeated Aurora Gaming 3–1 in the grand final.
“Makazze” delivered an outstanding performance in the final, playing a crucial role in securing the victory for his team. His consistently high-level performances throughout the tournament earned him the MVP award, recognizing him as the best player of the event.
With this historic achievement, Shaqiri becomes the first Albanian player to win an ESL Pro League trophy — and the first to be named MVP at such a high-level Counter-Strike competition on the global stage.
His triumph with Natus Vincere marks a major milestone for the Albanian esports community, highlighting the growing presence and success of Albanian talent in top-tier international gaming.
