Kosovo has received unmanned aerial vehicles AeroVironment RQ-20 Puma, procured from the United States of America. The news was announced by the Acting Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci.
According to him, the systems were acquired through the state-to-state program known as Foreign Military Sale (FMS), with payment completed back in 2021.
“The Puma drones, along with other UAVs, represent another essential capacity for strengthening the Kosovo Security Force’s capabilities in the field of unmanned aerial systems” Maqedonci stated.
He added that cooperation with the U.S. in the field of defense is deepening and constantly expanding, contributing to the development of Kosovo’s army as well as to the advancement of shared interests between the two countries.
