OF1 Drin Merturi, an officer of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF), has successfully completed the Basic Officer Course in the United States of America (USA), demonstrating high academic achievement and representing Kosovo and the KSF among many nations worldwide.
The IBOLC training, held at the military base “Fort Moore” in Georgia, USA, is a fundamental training program for infantry officers lasting 20 weeks. During this period, officers are tested on individual tasks such as navigation, marksmanship, physical fitness, as well as on professional and teamwork duties such as leading a squad in military missions.
The Kosovo Security Force is increasing the number of officers trained by strategic partners to NATO standards, aiming to enhance interoperability with allies. This achievement underscores Kosovo’s commitment to strengthening its security forces and international cooperation.
