A wonderful news has come from the Kosovo Olympic Committee (KOK). The latter have confirmed that the champion skier, Sophie Sorschag, has decided to represent Kosovo.

Kosovo will have a champion in its ranks in skiing. The Olympic Committee of Kosovo has announced that an agreement has been reached with Sophie Sorschag to represent our country from now on.

This deal is said to have been reached in Slovenia between the leaders of the Kosovo Skiing Federation and the Sorchag team. Agreement that was reached in the Slovenian capital, namely in Ljubljana.

She was also world champion with Austria in the team competition that took place in 2021. She was also part of the competitions at the Winter Olympic Games, Beijing 2022.

The news in question was also confirmed by the Skiing Federation of Kosovo. In her announcement, she specified in which discipline the 24-year-old Kosovar will compete.

“The Skiing Federation of Kosovo headed by the President Mr. Milaim Kelmendi reached an agreement with the skier of the Nordic discipline (ski jumping) Sophie Sorschag to represent Kosovo in the most important events of Nordic skiing with the flag of the state of Kosovo”, the communique states Theirs.
