Foreign tourists are staying longer in Albania, especially in the north of the country.

According to data from the Institute of Statistics, in April, the number of net-stays in the Northern Region doubled compared to a year ago.

The profile of those who come to visit the north of the country has also changed.

Operators meanwhile require more commitment towards increasing capacity to attract more tourists.

According to INSTAT data, the number of tourists entering the country in April increased by over 35 percent compared to the same month a year ago.
