Berat, the city of one over one windows, is welcoming an increasingly high number of tourists, in all seasons of the year.
Prime Minister Edi Rama published today photos of tourists visiting one of its most attractive points, the castle.
“The flood of tourists towards Berat”, he wrote on social networks.
Berat, now a UNESCO city, offers, among other things, many houses from the Ottoman era, impressive castle structures and mystical churches and mosques, located on the side of the hills and mountains that have the Osum river in between.
Berat Castle is one of the most picturesque attractions in the area. This Roman-era castle sits atop a rocky hill on the left bank of the Osum River overlooking the town of Berat.
The number of visitors has been increasing and this summer season has high expectations not only in Berat but also in other tourist destinations of the country.
