In a historic achievement, Kosovo’s national football team has secured promotion to UEFA Nations League Group B after a decisive 3-1 victory over Iceland in the second leg of their promotion play-off, culminating in a 5-2 aggregate win. 

The first leg, held on March 20, 2025, at Pristina’s “Fadil Vokrri” stadium, saw Kosovo edge out a 2-1 win. Goals from Lumbardh Dellova in the 19th minute and Elvis Rexhbecaj in the 58th minute set the tone, with Iceland’s Orri Óskarsson briefly equalizing in the 22nd minute. 

The return match on March 23, 2025, showcased Kosovo’s dominance. They secured a 3-1 victory, demonstrating tactical prowess and resilience.
