Although the Social Truth Platform was announced as Donald Trump’s return to social media, the service turned out to be a major failure.
Trump unveiled his social network in October 2021 after being banned from expressing his views on Twitter and other networks that banned him. Truth Social was introduced on February 21 this year, but not without problems.
The social network is currently in big trouble, as at least one and a half million users can not even access the application they have downloaded. Additionally, the app is not available for Android, has no web version, and is not available to most people outside the United States.
Although it was one of the most downloaded apps in the Apple App Store since its release, most users can not even run it now. It was a disaster, according to Joshua Tucker, director of the Center for Social Media and Policy at NYU.
Although everyone expected the problem to be resolved quickly and Trump to start posting his “truths” on social media, none of this happened.
Users who find a way to use the app say it is quite empty when it comes to content. Also, a study shows that Social Truth intake meanwhile has dropped by 95 percent.
BBC News reveals that Donald Trump is angry about this development and is surprised why so many people do not use Social Truth.
Truth Social, a platform that was announced as a major competitor to major market players (Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp), stalled once it got to its feet.
