The American ambassador in Kosovo, Jeff Hovenier, has bid farewell and thanked the Ukrainian troops who were in the country as part of KFOR for their service in Kosovo.

He said he congratulated them on the task of protecting their country that they will have from now on.

“This week, I met the senior Ukrainian KFOR officer. Honored to bid farewell and thank the Ukrainian troops for their long-term commitment to the NATO mission in Kosovo. I wish them the best as they go home to defend their country from the Kremlin’s brutal war,” the US ambassador wrote on Twitter.
