Kosovo’s chief negotiator, Besnik Bislimi, held a trilateral meeting with Serbian counterpart Petar Petkovic and EU Special Representative, Miroslav Lajcak, but no final license agreement has been signed.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi, the Serbian side did not present its preference in the working groups and did not accept that the task of resolving the issue of license plates should be transferred to the chief negotiators and a solution should be found within the next 30 days.
The Serbian side did not adhere to the agreement of the parties, our party that in the first meeting has chosen its preference, the Serbian side has refused to determine its preference. Consequently we could not present a solution today. “Again, at the request of Mr. Lajcak, we have offered an additional concession that for 30 days the task from the working group to be transferred to the chief negotiators to find a solution together but the Serbian side has not accepted,” said Bislimi in a statement to reporters in Brussels.
