Today is the next meeting of chief negotiators from Kosovo and Serbia.
The meeting will be hosted by EU Special Representative for Dialogue Miroslav Lajҫak, while the energy issue will be the focus of discussions on Tuesday.
“Discussions will focus on finalizing a roadmap that would facilitate the implementation of the 2013 and 2015 energy agreements and on other current issues, including preparations for the next summit,” said EU spokesman Peter Stano. , Stano underlined in a written response sent to the media.
Since the September crisis in northern Kosovo, chief negotiators Besnik Bislimi of Pristina and Petar Petkovic of Belgrade have met only once, on April 21, when an agreement on vehicle license plates failed.
Dialogue at the level of chief negotiators has taken place several times before and after this moment but without their direct meeting. Every meeting held in Brussels since then has ended without any result.
According to European officials, energy and the issue of missing persons are two topics where the parties have aligned their positions.
