Prime Minister Edi Rama announced that he has communicated with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Macedonian counterpart Dimitar Kovacevski regarding the upcoming European Union summit, which will be held on June 23 in Brussels.
Through a post on social networks, Rama said that he expects another negative response from this summit, regarding the opening of negotiations with the EU.
According to the head of government, this is due to Bulgaria’s veto on Northern Macedonia, for which the EU is still unable to find a solution.
“We discussed today at the next EU Summit with the leaders of Serbia and Northern Macedonia. It seems that another “No, sorry!” will be what we will hear in the end! The whole Union kidnapped by Bulgaria is not a good spectacle to see! What to do there?!” Rama wrote on Twitter.

Yesterday, Vucic said he had not yet decided whether to attend the summit.
The high-level conference with the Western Balkans will be held a day before the EU Council session on June 23-24, which is expected to decide on the integration of the countries of the region.
Albania and RMV are waiting for the opening of negotiations, which requires the lifting of the veto by Bulgaria, while Kosovo is waiting for visa liberalization.
