Rama demands the abolition of visas for Kosovo in Berlin

The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, has requested the abolition of the visa regime for the citizens of Kosovo, saying that all the criteria for such a thing have already been met.

He in a press conference together with the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin, said that he hopes that the German state will influence the abolition of visas for the citizens of Kosovo.

“I hope that Germany, in addition to doing its part in terms of fulfilling the process and the unanimous acceptance by the entire European Council of sitting at the negotiating table with Albania and Northern Macedonia, will also fulfill liberalism at EU level. of visas for Kosovo. “It is a deserved process for many years, but it is blocked and I hope it will be liberated”, said Rama.

Otherwise, Kosovo is the only country in the region that still does not enjoy the right of free movement in EU countries.
