At the opening of the first edition of the Forum for Women, Peace and Security, which begins today in Pristina, and which is held at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, the participants were addressed with a special video address, US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken.
He thanked President Osmani for organizing this Forum and NDI for its support. According to him, Secretary Albright when asked what makes her proud during her many decades of service.
Blinken quoted Secretary Madeleine Albright in his speech.
He said Albright has defended the principles of the UN Charter and international law.
“She constantly reminded us of the importance of standing up to tyrants and provocateurs, as well as preventing countries from using force to rewrite each other’s borders and to protect the principles of the UN Charter and international law,” Blinken quoted, Mrs. Albright.
