The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has begun his official visit to the United States of America.
During his stay in the US, the Prime Minister will meet with state officials, heads of enterprises, representatives of organizations, as well as the Albanian-American community, the Office of the Prime Minister announced.
He will meet today with representatives of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).
After some criticism he received for postponing his official visit to the US, Kurti had said in a press conference that the main obstacle had been logistical-technical, because, according to him, one could not go for three days to such a distant country. He even warned that when he goes, he will stay long.
“When I go to the US I can not go for three days, I will go for 10 days or two weeks, because it is a much larger country and much further away, but also the meetings I can have there will be more than in Europe… I will go and stay longer than in EU countries, I will probably have to stay a little longer than usual, so you can ask when he will be back ” , Kurti had said about his visit to the US.
