Egzon Hyseni, a relative of Pajtim Krasniqi, has opened up about the events leading to the heartbreaking tragedy in Miami, sharing every detail about his cousin’s life and the final moments before his death.
“Pajtim was my uncle’s son” Egzon began. “We had just spent the last six days together on vacation. First, we were in Miami, where he lived, and then we went to Las Vegas until Sunday. On that day, I went to New York, and he returned to Miami. That was the last time I saw him.”
Egzon explained how Pajtim had invited him and his brother to visit Miami and attend the Formula 1 race in Las Vegas. “He was excited for us to be together. That’s just who Pajtim was—family-oriented and always eager to spend time with us.”
Pajtim and Sabrina had been together for 12 years and married for four. “He met her when she was very young” Egzon said. “She was less mature than him, but they seemed happy together. She was there for him even after a motorcycle accident five years ago when she was driving behind him and filming as the accident happened.”
According to Egzon, Pajtim was a quiet, family-focused person. “He worked in the stock market and real estate. He was financially stable and deeply loved his wife. He told me during our trip, ‘I’m so happy. If I could freeze the last three years and relive them, I would. They were the best years of my life.’ He called Sabrina not just his wife but also his best friend.”
However, Sabrina’s controlling nature became a point of concern. “She wanted to isolate him from his family and friends” Egzon revealed. “She wanted him all to herself. We knew this, but Pajtim still loved her deeply.”
Egzon described the shocking sequence of events after Pajtim returned to Miami. “Sabrina came back to their apartment a day before he did. When Pajtim returned, he noticed something was off in their apartment. That’s when he discovered she had been unfaithful. He called his brother and said, ‘She’s cheating on me. Tomorrow, I’ll call her father and ask for a divorce. I don’t believe in love anymore. I thought I was sleeping next to someone who loved me, but she’s my enemy.’”
Egzon shared how this discovery devastated Pajtim. “He went out for a drive to clear his mind while his brother tried to calm Sabrina down. She was panicking and kept asking, ‘Is he going to divorce me?’ Pajtim’s brother assured her it was just an argument, but Pajtim had already made up his mind. He even texted her, telling her he wanted a divorce.”
Sabrina, reading these messages on her laptop, grew increasingly distraught. The couple had firearms in their home, which they used for shooting practice twice a week. “I told Pajtim once, ‘Why did you teach your wife how to shoot?’ And he laughed, saying, ‘She’s a good shooter.’”
Egzon then recounted the horrific final moments. “Pajtim was sitting down when she fired four shots at him, but none of them hit him. He ran to the balcony, but she followed him. There was nowhere else for him to go. She shot him five times on the balcony and killed him.”
Egzon expressed the unimaginable pain his family is enduring. “Pajtim was a kind, gentle soul who didn’t deserve this. He gave his life to someone who betrayed him in the worst possible way. We’re all shattered.”
