The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, will travel to Greece to participate in the Summit of the Heads of State of the South East European Cooperation Process (SEECP), the president’s office announced on Thursday.
According to the announcement, Osmani will join the leaders of 13 countries in this summit to talk about deepening cooperation with countries in the region and international partners to guarantee peace, security, stability, economic, political and social development in the region.
The SEECP Summit will also focus on recent developments in Europe, including the war in Ukraine, as well as their impact on countries in the region.
“During the SEECP Summit, President Osmani will have a bilateral meeting with the Summit host, the Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis, as well as with other participants. President Osmani will attend the official dinner of the Summit with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and EU Council President Charles Michel. In this SEECP Summit, President Osmani will also talk about the role that the Republic of Kosovo is playing in maintaining peace and stability in the region; “The importance of regional cooperation based on the principles of equality and inclusion, as well as the need to accelerate the Euro-Atlantic perspective for Kosovo and other democratic countries in the region,” the statement said.
