Osmani stressed that Kosovo and Greece share the same Euro-Atlantic values, so he asked for Greek support for membership in the Council of Europe, Partnership for Peace and NATO, as a guarantee not only for the state of Kosovo, but also for the region, said in a statement. for the media.
Osmani mentioned the danger from Russia’s destabilizing tendencies in Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, through Serbia as its satellite.
Part of the meeting was dedicated to the developments created after the Russian aggression in Ukraine. President Osmani reiterated the position that Kosovo is fully in line with EU and US sanctions against Russia, expressing support for the Ukrainian people and noting that Kosovo has already hosted a group of journalists from this country, as it is also open to sheltering other refugees, the statement said.
In a meeting with Minister Dendias, President Osmani expressed readiness to deepen further cooperation, with the hope that soon the decision to recognize the independence of the Republic of Kosovo from Greece will be formalized.
