The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti, traveled on Monday to Washington, where they will participate in the signing ceremony of the agreement with the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), for the Kosovo Compact Program. The ceremony will take place in the Congress of the United States of America.
At the end of June, the Executive Board of the MCC approved the Compact Program with Kosovo worth more than 200 million dollars.
This program, which deals with energy projects, includes three projects: 1. Energy reserves and arbitrage (batteries with a capacity of 170 MH, providing a reserve of 340 MH), 2. Workforce development and the inclusion of women in the sector of energy and 3. American Development Catalyst Institution Project.
The first project consists of the purchase and installation of high-capacity batteries, which serve as energy reserves.
The Office of the President of Kosovo announces that President Osmani and Prime Minister Kurti, during their stay in Washington, will also hold meetings with important American officials and authorities.
