Montenegrin lawmakers will vote on Thursday for the new government cabinet led by Prime Minister-designate Dritan Abazovic.
According to his proposal, the new government will have 4 deputy prime ministers, 20 ministers, and 2 ministers without portfolios.
The coalition is composed of Abazovic’s URA Movement, the pro-Serbian Socialist People’s Party, the Social Democrats, and other ethnic Albanian and Bosnian minority parties.
Abazovic submitted a detailed plan a few days ago. He emphasized that the government will focus on tackling corruption and organized crime, as well as push for EU integration and new reforms to overcome the crisis brought on by the war in Ukraine.
One of the first moves will be a census, a topic that has traditionally stirred debates in the country.
